matsaleh Heh Rangi..whilst we all appreciate your good work in showing us your pictures...this is still a forum and only the administrators can moderate the content. If you wish your work to be sacrosanct, without comment......transfer them to a personal BLOG. Its not his own work. Many of these photos have been "borrowed" from "Lost Bali" on Facebook or from Old Bali photos - Bali Happenings I know this because I also have a passion for photography from yesteryear.

Yes you are aright Matsaleh. As you had already pointed out I was not alive when most of these photos were taken so it would of been impossible for me to take them. Thank you for your nice contribution to the thread. 1937
matsaleh It would be nice, Rangi if you gave some recognition to the original photographers, or at least acknowledged your sources.
Rangi matsaleh wroteIt would be nice, Rangi if you gave some recognition to the original photographers, or at least acknowledged your sources. I don't feel it is necessary. I am just keeping it simple. People like Tintin who have been contributing have been good so thanks. Also thanks to the people who have shown their appreciation. I just put these photos on for people to look at as no one else has done it from what I have seen. No big deal if everyone does not like the way I have done it. Just don't see the point of negative comments that is all. Never going to please everybody

Enjoy the photos. And if anyone does not like them, well, that's ok. They are allied their opinion too. But would be nice if some of the knockers contributed some photos too. :topsy_turvy:

Rangi Here is a shot from the deck of the Taporo IV ferry/cargo boat of Hotel Bali Hai Huahine in 1990. Bali Hai Huahine had been closed since the early 1980s
Markit It's a mark of the Balinese adherence to tradition that many of the "old" photos could really have been shot yesterday.
Rangi Benoa, Bali, Indonesia in 1983 On road from Monkey Forest to Ubud village 1983 Sunrise (5am) over paddy fields next to Mangalla restaurant; Lovina beach; Singaraja. July 3, 1983
tintin 1987, Jl Raya, Tebesaya, Ubud. A procession, from Ubud's Pura Desa, is returning from Pura Desa, Peliatan. But that was when Ubud was still just a village...
tintin Rangi. This is what it looked like in 1986. The property with the house, near the sea, was an ashram.
