I have just topped up Smartfren for the first time in 2014. I have their Connex EVO plan, and last year if I topped up with 150,000, I got a 12 GB data balance with a further 6GB bonus to be used in the first week.
Now I get a 9 GB data balance, and at [url=http://www.smartfren.com/ina/connex-evo/]Smartfren | Operator Selular CDMA | Connex Evo[/url] I see there is an evening bonus of 12 GB for downloads between 1am and 7am. So if I can get more than half of my downloads in those early morning hours, I will still be getting movies for about $1 each - but it might take some re-adjusting of my timetables.

Being a nosey type ... can I ask does that top up last you a month?
Basically I need to sort my communications well in advance...sick of my current 'three system' nightmare ....

I use it for downloading movies, and can commonly last 2-3 weeks on one topup.
It works in Ubud & Lovina - haven't tried it in East Bali.

It works well where I need to be in East Bali. It worked great when I lived in Kuta and I could finish my 12GB quota in a month. It is crap in Sanur and I only get halfway my 6GB quota. I'm considering moving to 3.

I would move in a heartbeat if it weren't for work and a half decent school for my kids. I'll retire in the East :eagerness:
