The passport will cost anywhere between Rp700.000 to 1.5 million, depending on the immigration officer who processes it and how quickly you want it processed. It takes at least a couple of weeks to process; usually, the shorter the processing time, the higher the cost.

Yes, they may look at bank statements and other supporting documents. Provide as much information as possible, including compelling reasons for the person to return to Indonesia (family, job, business, etc). The main reason visas are rejected is if the consulate thinks the person will over-stay the visa or will not return to Indonesia.
