So Rangi, yes i also understand why it is there, I am not STUPID.

I am no fan of [I]Ray White[/I], but somebody has to help pay for sites such as this one if it's to survive.By visiting, looking and posting on this forum, we are all of us [I]de facto[/I] participants in the continuing decline of Bali.I understand Rangi's point, but what's the alternative?There's no such thing as a free lunch.Advertising revenue pays the bills. Those of us who use Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, Facebook, Twitter, etc, are no different.There is no compulsion here to click on [I]Ray White[/I] or buy anything if you don't want to.:icon_e_ugeek:

Hi Scout. What went wrong with Ray White?It seems they are a franchise so possibly you have an issue with the person you dealt with rather than the actual Ray White company?

The "latest news" has two items from 2013 and the rest from 2012, and it's been like that for a [I]very[/I] long time.To me, that means the landing page is virtually useless and gives a bad impression to first-time visitors.Why have it at all, if it can't have at least [I]some[/I] [U]current[/U] news there? I think it's an embarrassment, and inexcusable.If it can't be updated, get rid of it. Have the home page go directly to the Forum. How hard is that?:icon_rolleyes:

There is no option to remove them, so had to be manually removed from the template. The news headlines are an RSS feed from the forum's news section, so automatically updated. Hopefully it looks more welcoming to anyone who happens to land on the front page, a welcome message explaining what the site is about might be an idea also.
