Fred2 wroteiluvbali you are correct for a working visa the rules are the same as the last 7years, you must pick your visa from anther country. you must enter on your company sponsored visa. there is NO CHANGE, your company will tell immigration were to telex your visa too & you can pick it up when you get there, best to stay overnite.
Mat you are applying for a different visa you do not need to leave Indonesia, if your agent is telling you that then he is a idiot, you need a new agent. You would look pretty stupid standing at singapore when they tell you that you pick it at your local immigration office. If you have any problems go to immigration & ask they will soon tell you what is required. This info comes at a very high price so I will let you know w hat bar I am in next time I am in Bali
Hi Fred.
I have been using the same agent for years and her sister before her. I have no reason to think these very new kitas requirements are false. It would be nice to see the new legistration, true, but I'm sure it will be posted soon enough. As it happens I was planning on spending a few weeks out of Bali, so it really is not a problem for me. But the [very] new requirement is to show my exit stamp before the final processing of Wife sponsored Kitas. My agent gave me the address of the embassy in the country I will be visiting and told me I can pick up my kitas from there before my return to Bali, adding the final processing 'should' take less than a week after submitting a photocopy via email, to her of my exit stamp. A lot of the paperwork can be processsed before. I live a few hundred yards from the immigration office in the north and will ask for confirmation when I deliver some notaris authenticated [stamped copies] paperwork shortly.
Will be happy to stand you a few beers and dinner, here in the north. whatever the final outcome of this thread. Look forward to hearing of your return.
