Hi guys! howdy?
Soon, i will need to make social visa (for staying 6 moths), and in every region in Bali, price is different.
In Jimbaran guys asking 2.5m, in Kuta 900k, some websites ready to make it starting from 600k.
So, whats the actual price for social visa now?

The price is 250,000rp & is set by the Indonesian government, this has been the same price for the last 5 years. What you want to pay a agent is up to your barter powers.

I can confirm what Fred2 has said, I actually go to the immigration office with my sponsor. A time consuming affair . . . but the trip is always interesting, could be a reality show in the U.S., for sure!!

I have just paid 650,000 (includes the 250k set fee) through an agent....This is a fairly common price as I have used several agents now and that's the price they are charging....and of course I know of others that charge a lot more. Obviously you will get your first 60 days, then can extend 4 times, so you have to pay for each extension.
(Maybe the Jimbaran guy is quoting for all 4 extensions??)

I`am not sure, i think they just trying to cheat me.
I just contact with Baliexpat, and Rio told me, that they will not make social visa anymore, so may be you can share your agent office contacts? they are legitime?

I pay my agent 400,000 for each extension. [Just gone up from 350,000] Location Singaraja.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think the OP was looking for advice on getting the initial Sosbud and not the extensions. Check the S'pore or KL Indonesian website for prices.
If so.... a Bali sponsor is required and a trip to S'pore or KL will be necessary to initiate the Sosbud. On return to Indonesia it will last 60 days then the extensions that other members advise will permit a stay up to a max of 180 days.

Bali Mode in Ubud on Jl Hanoman....but I have just read Davita's post, so probably the price will be different if they offer the service you need, which I am reading is that you need a sponsor. Best to go there directly and ask or call them 0361 970 288
they also have office in Kuta. Make sure you explain clearly what you need so they give you the correct answer.

Just a not on Social extenstions..I have had the same (Javanese) sponsor for the past 4 years and have always done my own extentions (250k each time). I have gotten to know the staff in Denpasar and got to the point where it had become fairly painless.
However, last week on extension 3, i made my way across to the second Denpasar office that you need to go to on that extension to be told that my Javanese sponsor is no longer acceptable. Extensions done in Bali must have a sponsor with a KTP that lists their address in Bali. A KIPAM is no longer acceptable.
The fact the old so and so was more interested in watching the TV he has up in the corner than listening to my reasoning did nothing for my irritation. So a hastily arranged alternative Balinese sponsor was found and 3 hours and 2 more forms later all was ok.
Needless to say i am finally caving and will be getting an agent asap (which I believe is the probably aim of the whole exercise) and for an extra $25 a month I will not have to lay eyes on a certain immigration official again :)

Agree with penyu...if you want a sponsor/agent I would recommend Bali-Mode as they are my agent for my retirement visa. They have offices in Kuta/Ubud and Jakarta. For a price they will arrange everything including a same day application using their agent in Singapore.
If you have your own sponsor in Indonesia, remember the sponsor must reside in the area you will reside, then Bali-mode can simply arrange the Singapore agent for you at a less price.
If you have all documents intact and arrive in S'pore very early before 11:00am, the S'pore agent can have the visa stamped in the passport by 4:00pm, and you can return to RI same night.
All of this can be done cheaply as a DIY, without agents, but can be troubling, will not be expedited and certainly will not be done in one day. This method is better if included with a short holiday in Singapore or Malaysia, if KL Immigrasi is preferred.
btw many agents in Bali do the same process and probably use the same S'pore Agent.....so shop around for prices and reliability.
