Advice on seeing schools and accommodation during one week trip

Hi folks, My wife and I are planning to move to Bali in July of 2013, and I'll be visiting for one week in November to visit schools and the areas we're interested in living (Seminyak, Sanur, Kerobokan). (1) How would you recommend I get around during that week? Is the best option to hire a car and driver? (2) I would like to view some long-term rentals. Does it make sense to do the viewings through realtors? If so, can you recommend a realtor with a good reputation among expats? Thanks a lot, Moe

Use agents, and also seek out properties in the area of your interest that you find by word of mouth. In short, see as many properties as you can.
