Dhi
I am investigating schools for my 8 year old in bali. We will be visiting some international schools the week after next when we come over from Sulawesi. In my experience on these forums I understand that people don't want to give negative opinions of schools. Also I know that once you are busy with your life in your new country you perhaps don't frequent forums as often as you did before you moved there! However, I'd love to hear why you have chosen the school you have for your child in bali (hopefully more than just cost). It is such a big decision and having already made a not so good one in another part of Indonesia I'd like to gain as much information as possible before we choose one. I'd also love to catch up with some parents and hear their views on educating children in bali. Here's hoping that someone can shed some light!

It seems nobody want to take a stand on your question ;-)
I've one Child at SIS (Sanur Independant School) for the past 6 years and we both are very happy with it. I can't really take a stand on the educational quality of the school - how does one compare all the different Schools in Bali? However, the main reason I've chosen that school as it it had a nice feel of a little Village school to it and the sizes of Students was quit low. (It has been growing a lot) All I really expected from the school was to create a sense of family and a learning environment that inspires the love for learning and I'm more than pleased with the result.
To assure my child the best possible education and for other reasons we'll move soon overseas.
I hope I could help you a little bit ;-)

Hi Dhi,
How did your school search go? We are a fam of 4 that are on our way to settle in Bali. We are looking for a school for our 6 yr old boy. We have loads of other questions as well such as in what area to settle in. I am going for a scouting trip to Bali in a few weeks and would love to have at least a basic plan of what to look at. I tried to send you a priv message but I wasn't allowed since I am new to the forum??
Can you poss PM me pls.
Thank you!!
Petter

Hi Petter can I suggest you use the search function - most of your questions have been answered many, many times before. Once you've taken the top off it then you can get more detailed with your questions. Welcome to Bali.
