Terra Fidelium, no more cooperation. :(

Some of you may remember my enthusiastic post http://www.bali-information.com/expat_f ... php?t=2476 about starting cooperation with the Dutch owner of Terra Fidelium, a former franchise holder of Exotiq Real Estate. Unfortunately the business venture with Terra Fidelium stopped, and I must say in not such a nice way. But that is life. You try things and you loose, and then you try again. You do stupid things, and you let stupid things happen to you. Just try to do it in an honest and fair way, and then someday you will succeed. Anyway, it was another lesson, I lost money, time, and had plenty of stress. I learned that I am not the business man I hoped to become, and I never will be. And that's worth something :) So now I have to concentrate I what I can do best. I am in the process of selling or leasing the real estate part of http://www.bali-information.com, which is the number one website for Bali Real Estate (and Indonesia for that matter) and a great opportunity for start ups or businesses without a well visited website. Talks with some companies are still going. When I don't succeed with this, I will change the business model of the site. I am working hard on this and its fun to do.... but for nothing if I manage to sell or lease. In the mean time I try keep serving the clients that mail through the site as best as I can, but it means sometimes referring them to other agents. One thing is for sure. The Expat Forum will continue to be as it is. A somewhat sad,

Hi Bert, Isn't it an idea to sell the advertisement space on your real estate pages to anyone who wants to sell? Just a price per object/month and payment in advance? Selling seems something to regret afterwards because I think it will be hard to earn your ranking in the search-engines in the future again.

Hi Bert, Just curious how are your plans with the real-estate pages developping. Is there light at the end of the tunnel?

Thanks Rien... There is always light at the end of the tunnel, and I don't think its dark anyway. I still have leads with a few interesting companies. I give it some time, and if it doesn't work out with them, I have already some new plans. In whatever way it will go, it will be fun and interesting !

Well Bert what can i say :cry: No but seriousleyi think that Iris has said what i wanted to say in a metamorphic way .Life is a lesson Bert....fullof ups and downs mate......and that Bert is so true mate. I have had the same sort of things happen to me. I have had a good period where i just seem to be going a long fine on an upward curve then one day i get out of bed and from that point i start slowly going back down .....sometimes a bit faster than i would like. I then sit there and think on a paticular bad day well things can only get better because i have reached rock bottom. Then i think head up and look forward and heh all of a sudden things pick up again. Yes i think life can be like a rollercoaster for some people, but not all. What i mean is life, that roller coaster of emotions, happiness, love and laughter can only be compared to a roller coaster if you are on the rideoflife taking chances, having a go and most important of all having a go Bert. Those out there in the world that just go day to day never trying to do anything that may involve a certain amount of risk will never experience the roller coaster of life. Those that go out there and try something they have always wanted to do even though they are unsure they are doing the right thing or that they may fail at what they are attempting to do will eventually succeed and more importantly will never have to sit back and think i wonder what would have happened if thay had done this or that. The good thing is Bert you are honest with yourself and realise there will be more chances. Nothing ventured nothing learned. 8) :wink: :wink: Regs Spark

Hi Bert, Just curious. How are your plans developing?

I am still busy selling or leasing it, there is someone busy with investors from Jakarta, (listed on the stock exchange!), we will see how this develops. If this doesn't work out, and since I live in the North, don't want to move, I probably chance the site to a website where people can build their villa online (!) on the beach here, the idea that you probably have seen on the dutch site. Otherwise I will only market a very few villas else where, from people that I know very very well. and offer advertising for others.
