I am planning to spend my one month vacation in Bali, and I wanna know if where can I find affordable hotels, or apartment to stay there. I thought of maybe extend my stay there if ever it goes well and still have money on my pocket. :icon_biggrin: Any suggestion please?

A lot depends on what you deem as affordable. It also depends on what area or areas you would prefer to spend your time. Extending your 30 day visa for another 30 days is quite an easy process.

Three separate trips to the Immigration office over a period of five or so days and having to deal with less-than-helpful non-English speaking immigration officers (one trip to apply for the visa, another to pay for it and the last to pick up your passport). If you've never done it before, you can find it a very confusing and tiresome experience. The alternative is to apply for a 60day visa from your own country before leaving for Indonesia then you are covered. That is what I will be doing on my next trip, I had enough of immigrasi in Denpasar last time. The other way is to pay somebody to do the running around, there are agents who can do this for you. But if you are budget conscious then this might not be the answer for you.Good luck.

Sam & Dave, are you two listening! Or is there some type of low IQ area in the Bukit and Jimbaran. I did not say I go to the Immigrasi.Read what is written.Read the original question and be aware my answer was to that. The original post was a question about accommodation and the possibility of a VOA extension.Davo if you have to go to the Immigration office for a visa renewal that is because of your bad organisational skills. Not mine.If you do not speak Bahasa Indonesian, that also is your hassle. Not mine.

although I think In BTKs post, his further info toward visas was regarding a social budaya (which requires a sponsor , whereas a 60 day non renewable visa doesnt )[/QUOTE] Just a quick note, a few people here have reported that immigration are now extending 60 Day Tourist Visa's, not sure about the legality of it but they're treating them the same as Social Budaya's.

hi buddy..lots of options to enjoy bali with the low budget. The matter of satisfaction is mostly depends on how we enjoy it right?if the luxurious villas is much more over-budget, you may try some rent houses. Some rent houses offer you nice view and of course your bargaining skills is a must. for one rent house near Uluwatu may cost around 5 million rupiah per month. Our you can try to deal with some cheap villas probably. For visa extension, it is not that difficult in Bali. lots of agents will help you with the services but becareful, not all the agents are safe. In some cases they stamp your visa with the fake one so once you go check in to the airport, you ll get into trouble.I have friend who offer the visa extension service. I can tell you. just email me...probably he can helps you some ways.
