Some of you may have noticed some changes on http://www.bali-information.com , the company name has changed and some extra features are added. This property website I have been running add-hoc, became already more and more serious, but now its a very serious thing and takes all my time. One day I met Arnout, a Dutch guy living in Bali for about a year, having a real estate franchise from a Bali based agent, where he became frustrated with the things happening there. He wanted to talk with me about making a website for him because he wanted to start for himself. From one came the other, and now we both own the PMA where he has been operating with since his start. All the official license are there (and taxes), sigh. We have a nice office in Seminyak, near the Oberoi Hotel and Ku-de-ta. Suddenly I am director of a company with a staff of 5; 4 Indonesians, and a Dutch girl, allthough there is no real hierarchy. We are busy getting to know eachother, and its a great team. Because of all the changes things are a bit hectic, but all the motivation from everyone is there to make it a success.Me living in Lovina at the beginning seemed not really a big disadvantage, but this idea quickly changed. I want to be there at the office. Dewi has just gone to university here, and has all her friends and family here, so just packing our bags, would make here really unhappy. So I will divide my time between the south and the north of Bali. I have rented a house in Renon (Sanur), still some distance from Seminyak, but it saves me a mountain to drive over. Its a big change. I started off in Bali living on the floor of a taditional "house" in a small village, and now I live (half of the time) near McDonalds. But I am looking forward to it. Its nice to have everything at hand. (Like traffic jams :) )Tomorrow I am going to get some AC's and Furniture etc for my second home in Bali.Cooperation Discontinued

Hi Bert. I just now saw this post. Good luck on your new venture. I'm sure it will be difficult commuting between two homes, but it does sound like a great opportunity. I am also really happy to hear that Dewi is in University! Kudos to both of you! :D
