Welcome to the wolfs den (Balipod forum LOL). Since you say your bought/rented a villa already I guess you must be reasonable serious about the whole thing so the best advice is to use the search facility here and look back in the stacks.

If you are legally married, you can get a family visa, on your partner's retirement visa. You can start organizing it in Australia or Indonesia. If you do it in Indonesia, you will likely need to fly to Singapore to get the visa. Once you have the KITAS you can renew it annually in Indonesia without having to leave the country. The retirement visa you need to have an agent sponsor you, so you should start looking for a suitable agent and then you can email them with your questions. If you have a KITAS you should be able to fly in with a one way ticket. One way tickets however aren't really cheaper from places like Australia, so you might want to purchase a return ticket or open return ticket, so you will be ready if you need to go back for anything.
