Hi, we move next month to Bali 6-8 months per year. We are 4 persons in our family (2 adults + 2 children).
We want to get a tourist visa for 60 days. Once in Bali (1 week before it finish??) we want to contact with some agent to transform this tourist visa in a social visa. I undestand this agent is your sponsor and you cannot change it for the next 4 months. Then, for the next 4 months you have to pay for each member of the family 75$ each month?? So we have to pay about 300 $ each month for the social visa. Is it correct???
Then, when the social visa finish (after 6 months you entry in Bali fist time), you go out (Singapur, for example) and come back again. Then you entry again in Bali like tourist (30 days) and again look for a agent and bla, bla, bla... Can you go out of Indonesia and come back the same day?
There are very cheap flights Bali-Singapur. It is a good option, when you finish your tourist visa, go out of Bali and come back the same day, instead of ask for a social visa? We think 300 $ /month is a lot of money for my family...
Any other options, any suggest??
Thanks for your time and suggestions... :love_heart:

What you say is fairly accurate. But, many times your Bali agent will not be your sponsor - as this would have one person sponsoring many people which probably does not look good. So if in your first 6 weeks you can find a local who is happy to be your sponsor, then the agent does all the paperwork.
Yes, some people do same day visa runs to Singapore, but that's a bit rushed and if the plane you are arriving on is delayed, there may be problems and maybe you cannot get onto the return flight you have already booked. So less stress if you stop over for one night. And don't forget to check with your Singapore agent before booking flights to make sure Embassy will be open and the agent is available.

Get a 60day tourist visa & then find a local to sponsor your family, one sponsor letter with all your family's names, if you are sending your children to school, the school will sponsor your children. When you go to Singapore to do your sobud visa allow 3 days if you do it yourself, you can put the paper work in before 11am & pick it up 2pm the next day. Learn to deal with Immigration yourself & save some money, 250,000rp per visa extension. Take thing slow & it will be easy.:icon_mrgreen:
