We're doing the visa run in a couple of weeks but because of some car race hotels are very hard to find. We're coming in Sunday afternoon. Leaving Monday night. Somebody mentioned that it was possible to stay in Johor (where the hotels are appreciably cheaper). But will a visa agent come over the bridge to Johor to pick up the passports? Or would we have to come into Singapore on Monday morning, hand the passports over, and then find somewhere to hang out all day (I have two young kids) until our flight.
cheers, phil

I'd imagine you would need to be staying in Singapore to apply to the Indonesian Consulate in Singapore, as you need to give a hotel address in Singapore. I'd think that if you're staying in JB, then you'd need to apply to the Consulate in Malaysia.
I'd suggest you call a visa agent in Singapore to confirm. You could try Ismail on +65 9636 4854.

I don't know how that would work, because Joho is in Malaysia and if you get your visa processed in Singapore, you will need to hand over your passport. How are you going to cross the border? Why not just go to KL to get your visa processed?
