While we have been discussing moderation it seems that we have some really interesting new members!
I would like to IM Der NetDoktor but I am afraid that my wife might find out.
Merz doctor seems to be an associate of his...
Beareethila may have some interesting posts but right now she is a bit shy. She is the first Malaysian lawyer I know that likes baseball though!
I guess the moderators did more than I thought, and all without pay...

As the same topics come up over and over and over again can I suggest that new members are forced to read a FAQ which points them in the direction of the answers they want. This should be done before they can post.

Kind of online or software license agreements where you have to check the box after you have read all of licensing terms? I think all forums suffer from this to a certain extent. People are lazy to use the search function, but I think people always feel that there case is different from everyone else. The problem with creating an FAQ type list is what would you put in it and then who is going to maintain it? Sure many questions have been answered before, but everything is changing here all of the time.

Hi our names are Lynda and Murray, we live in the beauty Sunshine Paradise of Papamoa Beach in the Bay of Plenty. Looking to head to Bali in 2021 to spend our winters out of NZ. Just wondering what clubs etc there are for socialising for people who are in their late 50's early 60's. We are too young at heart to sit around all day but ideally would like to meet some like minded people for a bit of RnR, dinner/drinks etc What can everyone here recommend. Also, what is the best location apart from Seminyak, Canggu, Ubud etc
Love to hear from you all :)

Welcome to the Forum.
Sanur is a area you could look at, plenty of resto's, bars and beach walks.

Indeed when I see " aged 50 / 60" Sanur seems a good option.

I am in your age group and although I like Sanur for the occasional trip, I find it too dull and boring. Everything closes by midnight. Seminyak is busy and full of tourists but I like it. The beach on the west side is vastly superior to the east in my opinion. Sanur beach looks like it has given up and is just waiting to die - much like a lot of the Sanur residents
