According to the BBC here in the UK the warning has been called off for Indonesia - so good night and sleep tight.

Yes, the time has passed and nothing much happened. The tide at the time was 1.5 metre below the high tide mark - so even if a 1 metre wave arrived it would not have hurt.

Safe in indonesia"The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has lifted the tsunami warning for Indonesia. BMKG earlier warned that a tsunami might be heading to Papua, North Maluku and North Sulawesi after the 8.9 magnitude earthquake in northeastern Japan. BMKG geophysicist Fauzi told the Jakarta Globe a harmless 10-centimeter swell hit the coast of North Halmahera in North Maluku. No damages have been reported." :icon_rolleyes:

We got tsunami warning today in central coast California. They evacuate the beach front areas in Pismo beach, Avila, Morro bay, and Cayucos. We live in Morro bay, and they still close the coastal access.
