LATAH
Hi all.I want to have some shorts made for my father. Designing them myself as I want elastic waist with velcro fly and a few other modifications on your average pair of pants.I want to bring my own fabric and just need to find someone who will understand the modifications and why I want them made like that. I've got an exisiting pair to copy for style and fit.My father is getting pretty old - his pants are either always falling down or if they have an elastic waist, often don't have a fly or are button up ...presenting a whole new set of problems. Other than that they will be casual everyday cotton shorts that don't require a lot of tailoring. We live in Canggu....if that helps.Any suggestions?Cheers

They all will have needed a tailor at some point. I hadn't been where I am [in the north]more than a couple of months before I became aware of the local tailor. I would expect making a pair [or 2] of shorts to your spec would be simple for any of them. It sounds like a translator would be closer to what you need. Good luck. I been there, looking after my dear Dad for the last 15 years of his life. More power to you.

We have been using a Kuta tailor for some years now to make up specific one off items. I'm sure he would be able to help you and his English understanding is very good. Ask for Putu at Bali Brumby, down the laneway near the slingshot, Kartika Plaza, opposite Bali Garden Hotel & Resort behind Bubba Gumps restaurant. Bali phone numbers 813 385 76271 or 81999987671.
