Apartments

Hi there, very new here and just looking for some info from those "in the know". I am looking to come up to Bali for 2-3 months early next year and looking for an apartment or similar in the Tuban area. I am coming up for a few days next month for a scout around and have found one or two online but from what I gather I am better off wandering around the area or talking to some locals to find other places as the ones online are all tourist/holiday prices....OR.... is the apartment style living really only for tourists and that is just what it is?? Any info/ideas appreciated. Many thanks Tracey

Have stayed at Royal Kuta Villas, was quite nice, quite expensive, and had to get some plumbing fixed while there. I dont think it is for a long term stay unless you can get a good deal for a year.

Thank you Goldminer......... have a few in Kuta Royal to see on the weekend so hoping one of them will be ok. Was just hoping it was a decent sort of complex with reasonable security and it wasnt a dump or anything as the prices seem to vary greatly. It says that you have use of the pool at adjacent resort also, hopefully that is ok too ?? cheers

The one i stayed at had its own, abiet, very small pool. One other problem was the villa adjacent used a genset at night and was very, very noisey. :icon_e_sad:

I would recommend this place : THE STUDIO BALI -- sorry im not allowed to post any kinds of links here for im still a newbie in the forum, but you can try google thestudiobalidotkom 1 BR suites costs only 400.000 rupiah, my favorite is the 1 BR Budget Villas starts from 550.000 night, both include breakfast. I have stayed there for a month in February, and the last two weeks I got 50.000 discount per night, really good for your wallet. I would recommend you to go with the Budget Villa Room, they have their own kitchen and standard cutleries, so you just need to go out to buy groceries and cook there by yourself. They have WIFI and every 2 days they cleaned your room, decent bathtub, nice swimming pool, quiet place.. I mean this place is cheap, in KUTA a small inn costs you about 400.000 - 500.000 Rupiah per night and all you can get is only a room and a bathroom..:icon_cry: PS: The only thing you need to do is to rent a motor or a car for yourself, the place is quite hidden inside Jalan Kunti 2 after the Villa Daun you will find a big red sign on the left "BUDGET ACCOMODATION" take left and ride until the street ends.
