AHHHHHHHHHHHHH111!!!!!!!! I hope I learn to accept this maybe yes attitude very easily.. my app has gone through fine.. Only needed that card/paper the letter & my flight to bali..

@ soontobeexpat, If you want to learn to accept anything, try to learn to accept the maybe no, then if it's yes there's at least no disapointment...just joking ;) byt you've applied for a sosbud visa with a copy of a TEMPORARY ktp, and got it? amazing, but maybe good news for smellyelly.

maybe it does work, maybe it doesn't...but very likely it doesn't. Like Jimbo says, it's a temporary Kartu Tanda Penduduk and probably is not a plastic laminated card but either a A4 letter or a creditcard sized blue colored piece of paper with the photo of the holder, right? If you don't mind me asking where did he/she get the ktp sementara, I mean at her/his own kelurahan, or at a kantor kepala desa? Eitherway, it's issued for a short period, meaning a validity of 3 months max. in the mean time the holder gets the time to make a new KTP. The ktp sementara can be extended one time for another 3 months. Btw, the cc size blue piece of paper with photo is only issued on Bali for people who are originally from somewhere else, for example from Java. and there is a number on it, but that isn't the same number as on the KTP. There are some example letters on the forum if you do a search they will definitly turn up. fr.gr.gilbert.

they accepted it at consulate?? hahaha i think thats a good idea
