I am in the process of relocating to Bali with a fifo Husband, 16 year old son and 13 year old daughter. My daughter and I are coming over for 3 days so she can attend a day at the Australian International School. And the day she will be there happens to be Melbourne Cup. I have seen an add in the Bali Advertisor hat the Canngu Club was hosting a lunch and was wondering if any other forumites might be attending?

I have never been to the Canngu Club, but last year I watched the Melbourne Cup at Gracie Kelly's Irish Pub. They had a buffet lunch and various sweeps. It was pretty crowded though and you need to get there early to get a seat, so it might not be suitable for kids.

Not at the price they're charging! Rp750.000 per person or Rp500.000 for members :icon_rolleyes:

and for those prices..is anything "included"?? geez i am seeing so many scams happening here in Bali.....sad...shooting themselves in the foot eventually.

I wouldn't call it a scam, Cunngu Club has always been ridiculously over priced.
