Thankyou Markit.....I won't be put off, don't worry about that, actually you may get put off first, but one step at a time. I do hope that our friend does things properly and makes sure that the wife gets proper treatment. It is a 50/50 thing here, finding a hospital capable is one thing, getting the patient to accept the treatment is quite another, particular when there is a dukun in the ndeso who cure heartfailure with a bowl of bakso. There is so much avoidable illness here, but getting people to take it seriously is very difficult.

Unfortunately there is avoidable illness everywhere - most of it in the, so called, developed world where Big Macs are killing thousands. At least the avoidable illness in the developing world can be put down largely to ignorance - a "get out" the west doesn't have - we know what's killing us and do it anyway:icon_evil:

Yes, and a very sweet but fatal trust in "tradition" - I don't subscribe to a pill for every hole style...but there are times when growing a second head requires medical intervention.

Yikes markit, I hope you aren't referring to me, I am soaking up information from different sources, this being just one of many. Thanks again all for the input I find out later today results from the lab whether the tumor is benign or malignant and in three weeks I will be there and we will go see the doc together so i can ask him a ton of questions.

I know it, it has been a process for me. My western brain too is no good at making convincing arguments either, maybe convincing to you or me but not so much to my Balinese friends and family
