Hi all,I am moving to Bali in June I am Australian and I would like to meet other expats when I move there.
Hi Anzac,so I guess moving means you gonna live & work in Bali? There are some expat groups meet in restaurants & villas from time to time, for a lot of reasons: collecting some money & contribute to society (rotary projects, give as much as you want) having a good chat while you enjoy good food & have some beers and of course meet old & new people, working on your network... You can send me a PM here if youre interested to get more infoRegardsMarc

Possibly one of the quickest ways to meet a wide variety of both expats and locals would be to go to a Hash House Harriers' meeting ("run"). I don't know about Legian but there are active groups in both Sanur and Ubud. A quick search should get you to their website.Otherwise, for Sanur check at The Wicked Parrot (Jalan Danau Tamblingan) or Naughty Nuri's Warung in Ubud (opposite Neka Art Museum).:icon_biggrin:

As I observed in this forum, you can actually set a schedule for meeting ups with other expat just posting a nice invitation in the forum like some members do. :icon_wink:

Just a question on the hashing - is there much of a scene for the HHH over there? I'm looking at spending a couple of months over in Indonesia, embedding for a work project, and it sounds like a great chance to get into the pace of things and avoid as many of the questions you've all been asked a few million times now :)

I was two weekends ago in one of the trekkings around rivers, ricefields, mountains, rivers, ricefields, village..............it was a really really challenge and very beautiful to "run", quite dificult sometimes, a lot people there, local and expats I guess and a lot visitors as well, fun to try and probably a way to meet new people!!!I think it is a real way to know the countryside around all Bali!!!::.
