I got a PO box, cost is 60,000 rp a year. It's a good idea if there is a chance you will be moving at some point.

Hi everyone, As I couldn't find the info on the forum, I hope it is fine to start a new topic about this. I often receive mail and send out postcards and letters as well. I noticed that nobody in Bali has a mail box! Is this right? Now my mail always ends up somewhere in the garden, but I'm thinking of buying a letter box. Does anyone of you have a letter box or knows where you can find that? Or is that just not the way it works here? Another question: I'm having trouble finding nice post cards in Bali. I'm not looking for the landscape tourist cards you see everywhere, but more in some nice art cards, or other 'normal' post cards. I've been to Hardys where they only sell some very childish birthday cards... Other shops don't seem to sell any other cards than the tourist ones. Is there any shop in Bali specializing in other cards ? Perhaps some of you know that... I also would like to make my own cards but don't know where to find material... Thanks in advance!

[b]Letter box[/b] I have a letterbox next to my gate, my "handyman" made it from teak, I have sealed it so its waterproof, it has a flap at the side for opening. with a lock. It is reasonably large, as I have lots of journals etc posted to me. So far nothing has been lost, and when I am away my staff empty it!! easy

I live nearby Ubud and Ganesha sells lovely postcards - not the usual ones. There is also a shop next to Tutmak selling wonderful paper stuff - you can make your own cards. So, it's worth to take a trip to Ubud - it's only 35 minutes from Sanur (take the short cuts) :icon_lol:

Another place in Ubud selling beautiful, artistic cards and paper is the Three Monkeys restaurant on Monkey Forest Road on the right going up. It's also a lovely place to eat.
