I suppose many people enjoy Christmas, but I don't care too much for it. I will be happy when it is all over. Maybe if I had kids it would be different.

We're actually in the process of scaling back the Xmas hysteria. This is of course a long-range multifaceted decision, involving cultural and financial elements. No tree for the last few years. Fewer and less extravagant gifts each successive Xmas. Bank account in better shape each Xmas... We're not the bah, humbug types. (Our gifting actually spreads out more prudently over the entire year), but we've become aware over the years that this annual overconsumption event serves no useful purpose unless you're a shop owner or mass merchandiser.

Thanks for the link, interesting. We're not entirely eliminating gifting and not on religious grounds either; I mean we grew up in the States in the '60s so that materialistic hysteria has sort of been culturally ingrained.Just gradually weaning ourselves from it.Don't consider the concept of gifting itself wrong.Especially when I'm a recipient.

Today morning when I wake up just realized that I have to go to hospital for follow up 2nd rabies shot on Dec 24th...Laughable being, one legged girl walk to party looking like the ghost... :? after repeated consideration, I give up the idea that go to attend any party on Xmas night.
MiSO
Why not just go to the party? You've been looking forward to...Dancing might be not in your reach, but with visible left overs from the bite (bandage) people will notice you even more! Or does the shot make you really really sick?

@So No,my feeling was already much better,my leg already did not have the question that I think. That night was too noisy on beach. so I prefer quieter places.

Noodles, was just thinking as I was reading this post: "Why would Noodles want to go to the beach when she is still recooping from her rabies illness". Then I thought, out at night on the beach, hope she does not get bitten again. Continued reading the thread and low and behold you remembered you needed another shot. Was going to write, hey don't forget about your last shot. Wheee, close call girl. Maybe if you feel up to it, you could go but be surrounded on all sides with bodyguards....that way if a stray dog, cat, whatever happens to decide to take a bit of someone it won't be you. I would become somewhat paranoid had I be striken with your calamity.

Nood, more luck with dogs in the future!Btw...uuhm... also thanks for my invisible presents... :D Talking about Christmas.. I was at Hardy's this morning, and I thought it was basically oriented on Balinese customers, but all I heard was Christmas songs! Even choirs! After 2 hours (and having heard every song twice) I felt brainwashed...
