You could also take a look at Courts which seems to be fairly cheap looking at their catalogue.http://www.courtsindonesia.com/

You could also take a look at Courts which seems to be fairly cheap looking at their catalogue.
I first bought furniture from Courts when setting up in Bali as it was only meant to be a temporary arrangement. The quality is not very good and 3 years on most of it is or has fallen apart. I have found I can buy decent wooded furniture for the same or less.Actually I buy my wooden furniture over that way at 111 Furniture on Jl Mertanadi. Very close to the prison. They are very reasonable, dont start ask for silly prices. Some ideas of what I have paid2.7m sofa including mattress and cushions 2.5 millionLarge chest of drawers 800,00070cm wide bookcase 700,000 (Full height)70cm wide bookcase (half height) 400,00070cm wide cupboard with magazine rack 450,0002 seater wooden bench Rp400,000Dining tables start at 1 million and dining chairs at 250,000.I love this shop and step by step hope to replace all my furniture with stuff from here.

thanks everyone.....ok so i have heard from a few people that there is cheaper around, so is it really as easy as and more beneficial to have a look whilst in bali when i come in february?? lumumba i dont necessarily need to be in that area in fact i would much prefer sanur or around there. At the moment i plan to stay in a guesthouse for a while with my daughter which is quite reasonable at 2.2 million a month...without the worry of utilities costs...and is looking like a far better option for now.The prices provided seem quite reasonable.Mimpimanis 111 furniture sounds great thanksthanks belle

Belle-Unfortunately I cannot add to the advice on the costs of items, but I can suggest you look in Sanur for housing. As I have stated in my post "Affordable long-term housing in Sanur", I recently moved in to a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house for 15 million per year. And as a bonus, I signed on for another half year in order to get the place furnished. So for a grand total of 22 million, I have a 3 bed, 2 bath house, fully furnished, 2 brand new AC units to enjoy for the next 18 months. My advice would be to come to Bali and try and talk to some locals. Talk to every local you come across about housing, and I am very confident you will find what you are looking for.Good luck!
