I love FB :D
I find it a great way to keep in touch with friends around the world - touch base with those I havent seen in years... share pics.... I love the status updates as a snapshot into the life of someone. :D

Mind you ....maybe I should add I deleted my balinese BIL due to fights caused by me commenting on his pages - where he is trying to appear as a single guy!

Divorce lawyers claim the explosion in the popularity of websites such as Facebook and Bebo is tempting to people to cheat on their partners.
Suspicious spouses have also used the websites to find evidence of flirting and even affairs which have led to divorce.
One law firm, which specialises in divorce, claimed almost one in five petitions they processed cited Facebook.
Mark Keenan, Managing Director of Divorce-Online said: "I had heard from my staff that there were a lot of people saying they had found out things about their partners on Facebook and I decided to see how prevalent it was I was really surprised to see 20 per cent of all the petitions containing references to Facebook.
"The most common reason seemed to be people having inappropriate sexual chats with people they were not supposed to."
Flirty emails and messages found on Facebook pages are increasingly being cited as evidence of unreasonable behaviour.

I find facebook a waste of time,as mimpi says it's good for sharing photo's and also finding lost contacts. But some people I know (my cousins wife), puts up things like...we are having a lovely dinner tonight ,what a you all having?. Give me a break.God bless her, she then says , why don't you write something...not my thing, sorry.
JUDY
Mimpi, who were you talking about on Face Book, not your husband? I'm a little slow with the abbreviations...
JUDY
Oh forgot to mention, Motormouth, I agree with you concerning all the posting some people do on FB. Give me a break, to spend all that time relating everyday trivia....boring. True to post pictures to those who are interested fine, but to tell the world what you are eating for dinner, where you are going----I'm surprised people don't comment about their time spent in the bathroom. I guess some folks believe their lives are so special everything they do warrants a public forum.

-Cheating- has always been a favourite hobby for some of us, and this will never stop existing.
We human beings are animals, nasty beasts, it is terrible but true.
With internet as a "new" medium, it is even easier to shop somewhere else, secretely.
Facebook and other online meetingpoints are just catering the needs, the needs of our animal
(sometimes twisted, but from a psychological perspective interesting) desires.
And as far as the divorces...with or without Facebook...the divorce had already been signed...
Btw...no Facebook for me... Isn't there a more spicy variation of Facebook?
Just a question, have to keep myself updated, not asking out of personal interest...hahahaha...
G'night, sleep tight!

That is dam funny Gilbert. I stopped my facebook membership because I saw more potential harm than good.
MiSO
Yeah G., not very handy with the technical side of posting... but improving every day...
And no G., I though it was a bit more subtle than your P* and D* -book, haha...
Tom, harm? Please explain...
tom
There may be some long past relationships that I don't wish to recall. I wouldn't want anyone else to recall either.
bolli
I find Facebook is really Face Brag.
People thinking they are so important we have to know what they bought, where they ate and what they did each day.
mimpimanis
Well Bolli - Maybe you should delete me from your friends then
It's seeing what people are doing each day - that snap shot into their lives that I like.
Dyah
Hmmm ... i agree with you Gema ...i wondering FB ... then FB connecting me with so much friend who -i call they are so lazy to comunicate via post, eventhough via email etc.... - FB connecting me with my familly too, without calling ... just read their status updates and i know .. they are are okay, or they are happy ... or other message. Thanks FB :-)
gilbert de jong
untill recently haven't been very active on it. but am starting to turn around on the idea...imo it's fun to see in a flash, what's up with friends there.
calitobali
I use to like it and be more active, then family members starting adding me. It's great to keep in touch with family, but now I feel like I have to censor some of my updates as I don't want them knowing knowing about all of the mischief I get myself in, just some of it. They would start to get suspicious if they thought there was none haha.

I joined initially as I heard it was good for marketing. It was also good to catch up with some people who I had lost contact with. Then it started to become more mainstream and my family started using it. I also don't like being "tagged" in pictures, although I heard you can remove the tags. It is a good way to stay in touch with your family, but now that I have more family on there I tend to post less information. I have also tried to adjust all of the privacy settings.
mimpimanis
You can adjust it so that some people can't see your wall - I know cos I asked someone yesterday why had had no wall and he has just made it visable to me  I am going to do that too with some people I have added. You could do it with your family Spicy if you dont want them seeing everything
