Good to see you back Dyah :D . A Happy New Year to you and your family too.

Mimpi, my wife and I ate at Makan Yuuukkk, and it should be spelled , makan yuk....it was the worst indonesian food I have ever eaten. My wife(balinese) and 2 kids wouldn't finish it. Every time we pass it now the kids say , daddy there is makan yuk.
I am in Lovina for 1 night, my son wanted to come here fishing, bucketing down with rain, which was what we had last night in Canggu...nice and refreshing!!

yes - I have to say I have never succumbed to the lure..... just around the corner is Obonk's which I mention in the cheap eats thread and find great for fast, cheap good food. :D

hmm good information ..."makan yuk" ist realy like invitation to enjoy good indonesian food ... i must visit this warung...
About meaning:
"yuk" ... is like a invitation "come on" ...
"dong" have several meaning...like "sure", "please", "then"
"Aku tahu Bali dong" Sure i know Bali.
"Tolong aku dong" Help me please.
"Ke mana dong ?" Where then ?

Ok, I admit that was a bit harsh but it's definately one of those filler-foods that you eat just to keep the worms happy. A shameful waste of good soybeans that could/should have been turned into tempe. That stuff is the best!!! :)

If marinated and prepared properly it's really yummy.
But I noticed that there is only the soft version of Tahu, not the more tougher one.
*Proteins-proteins*
Btw, thanks motormouth, next time I'll be having Tahu I'll be thinking of...yuk..
