It's a pity that the lyrics bear little resemblance to the reality of today's Indonesia. I wonder what went wrong? Mind you, all national anthems I've heard suffer from the same problem. What you posted here, with all due respect, [I]might[/I] be better as a modern rap song. Or maybe a "reggae version" for Bali. Dangdut version for Java? I-Pop version? I better stop there in case I get slapped with sedition charge. And greetings to [B]borborigmus[/B] for remembering his password. Are you the [B]real[/B] "[I]borborigmus[/I]"? Hi borborigmus, enjoy your blog very much and saw the recent entry re lady gaga. You're definitely not a shrinking violet ;) I also noted in the comments to said post that this forum's 'old friend' Roy wrote about his indonesian citizenship. Can't believe he'd give up his blue US passport, since of course under Indonesian law he cannot hold dual citizenship. Roy, if you're lurking around, do tell us the story...
