Now you'll be able to see if it deserves the fame. Enjoy it!!! 8)

Why would you want to when all the extremely tasty Indonesian food is availble. Having said that I do get a craving from time to time for a simple potatoe. :D

Last year there was a thread on Warung Italia in Jalan Kunti. I enjoy the food there, and sometimes my friends spot celebrities from Jakarta. Take a look:https://balipod.com/forum/threads/holy-moly-warung-italia-baby.2983/

Yum Italian food. The best I've had is in Sanur. Sorry know that is not where u were looking, but Barocca in Jl Tambligan Sanur is the best. And you can order half serves if your not a big eater. Plus the grog is a good price lol 8)
However, Im not cook very well but I felt pretty confidence that I can cook better than local Indonesian food. Indonesian food is not only sweet but also fatty... That was made by myself, it's not greasy and light taste. 8)

Noodles I think perhaps your name says it all :D I would be interested to know what you consider Indonesian food.Have you tried Gado Gado, Nasi rames, Nasi pecel. Stir frys are the most healthy way of cooking Or is it more Mie and Nasi Goreng both of which are chinese. How many fat Indonesians do you see as opposed to fat italians?I used to wonder at folks going into a chinese or indian restaurant and ordering english food. Perhaps this is another case of that.

In which chinese restaurant do the do the best english food. Does the Indian place also serve good french food :D Sorry but I can never understand why you would come to Bali and want Italian. There are so many different foods to try here without looking for the kind you can get at home.Mind you I do love a good bacon sandwich with brown sauce so maybe you are right :D

Jimbo - You cant understand someone living in a country for years and wanting a taste of another food??? You never miss a food working where you do?I love spicy food and curries but we eat a pot roast every now and then as well as other western dishes...... when I lived in england I probably ate more foreign food than English! These days what you eat is not about where you are but what you want!

Sorry but I can never understand why you would come to Bali and want Italian. There are so many different foods to try here without looking for the kind you can get at home
Jimbo, you'd be surprised to hear this from me but 4 months in Indonesia recently, I've had the most delicious Indonesian food an Indonesian would ever want, be it at relatives' houses, restaurants, warungs or at my own place as I now have a great cookHowever, the 3 times I went to the Italian restaurants because I was invited, I did not like one bit of what they had to offer as my palette has changed to this true authentic/rustic Italian cooking which I also cook, thus cook at home whenever I craved for them. The moment I landed back in Italy since almost 2 months ago, at the Airport, I headed for the Italian Bar immediately and had the one and only Italian capuccino which could only be found in Italy and have been devouring only Italian food, ice creams, capuccinos, chocolates, cakes, etc. I didn't realise that I would miss them so badly when I was in Indonesia after 2 months there. Back here in Italy, I have not yearned for rice yet and all those other Indonesian dishes especially now that summer is here. We have slices of cantaloupe with raw ham as a starter that nowhere in the world is as exquisite as here. Enough said... :) Imho, one should only go to the Italian restaurant at a 5-star Hotel, as that's the only way/place you could really obtain the true Italian food. And in Bali, places like Four Season and they have Bulgari Hotel there too, right? They're Italians so they should know better.
