Hi all,
I'm planning on staying in Bali for 5-6 months to do some surfing and diving and need some advice on where to stay. I would like to have some nice breaks within walkable distance if possible... and preferably not too close to the tourist centre!
My only real criteria is that I need a fast and more or less reliable internet connection. I've read some other threads on here and I think I'll be getting one of the faster GlobalXtreme connections. But where would you all say is the best area to get high speeds?

Hi Andy
I am currently in Jimbaran using one of the faster Global Extreme packages. Up until a few months ago I was further up in Pecatu also using Global. Its well placed there or here for surfing at Dreamland and Ulawatu and the beaches between. I believe Global have an antenna at Ulawatu so you should be able to get a decent service and good surfing anywhere up there.
