I have a toll free number I use for work and the company gives me a number to dial from any country in the world. For Indonesia it starts with 001 803...
Can anyone tell me if I brought my own GSM cell phone and bought a pre-paid SIM when I arrived, would I be able to call that toll free # without it affecting my minutes? I'm assuming it does use my minutes. Do you think a hotel would let me call that number without a charge? If there was a charge how much do you think it would be for an hour of talking? What about the Wartels?
Thanks for any info.

catalano you may have to call the operator and ask them to reverse the charge on that number and then they will call the number to get permission for this,as for mobile call's from experience mobile accounts do charge for most free call numbers unless the number you dial belongs to the actual carrier linked to your hand phone,i have a reverse call number for the bank i use so i just collect call this way.
Hope this my be of some help :)

I think the chances of you being able to use it are very slim and no chance at all from a hotel. The problem with this sort of question is that it is so specific to you and is not the kind of thing most have an experience of.
