Looking for IT work in Bali

Hi Everyone, Thanks for taking the time to read my post, I’ll try not to bore you. My situation in this, my girlfriend lives in Indonesia and I live in England and we both want to be together. We are both looking at the options we have of moving, but for her to move to England looks harder than me moving there. But I don’t have any real qualifications to my name, only 10 years experience in IT and it seem like all the jobs I find they are looking for candidates with Degrees, etc... But I will not let this discourage me. Peter, Let me make it very simple for you. The chance that you will find a job as an expat in Bali or anywhere else in Indonesia anywhere between 0 and 1%. Unless, of course, you are willing to work for GBP 300 a month, without healthcare insurance. Expats who work in Bali usually do that for their own enterprises, have been send here by foreign companies or NGOs, or are exceptionally talented. Better stay and work in the UK and visit Bali as much as you can. Regards, Peter

I know quite a lot of English teachers and they all earn more than £300 per month. The lowest starting wage of those I know was £400 (7million) They have their visas paid for but as Peter said no health insurance.

[/quote] Peter just focus on getting to indonesia and having any job and if things work out with you and your g/f then try for a better job later one step at a time works well :mrgreen: Good luck
