Hi folks,
I am planning to spend several months in Bali in the near future. Can you please tell me if it is easy to use my GPRS-enabled cell-phone to access the Internet? What would I have to do?
In Thailand, it's simply a matter of buying a SIMM card, and making a phone call to the service provider, asking them to turn on the GPRS service. There are even several shops in all the big cities who can set it up for customers.
Thanks much,
Mike

Yes easy even for a technophobe like me. I didnt even have to get the GPRS put on, I was just sitting bored waiting somewhere one day and tried getting on to my fb account from my phone and it worked. :D

What are the best SIM cards to get for data bundles? I've got an iPhone - wonder if I can get any 3G happening anywhere? :)
Maybe I'll just take it to a counter somewhere and see if they can test the SIM, might be a safer bet (depending on the shop :)).
Cheers
Miles.
