What can you tell me about Bhuddism on Bali? Temples, where? Community size? Origin? Etc. Etc.? Planning on moving/working there and since I'm a Bhuddist I'd like to know what to expect, culture/religion wise. Thanks, Kris

Buddhist Vihara
There's a Buddhist Vihara in the North, I think west of Lovina. Bert will know more exactly where. I believe they are Chinese Mahayana monks. Other than that... a large (!) Buddhist community, I haven't heard of any.
I actually found enough Buddhist principles combined with Hindu principles in the Balinese spirituality to keep me quite happy. Check it out.

Kris, there is about 16,000 Buddhists in Bali, the address of the large temple in Kuta is Vihara Dharmayana Dharma Semadi, Jl Raya, Kuta.
I also have an address for Denpasar, Vihara Mahavira Graha, Jl Nusa Kambangan No 29, Denpasar phone 0011 62 361 226041. Hope this helps

Thank you very much for your information. Now the only thing left is to move. But first find a job, any tips/referals/offers on that?? Dutch tourism and hopsitality manager, 3 yrs. Netherlands, 9 yrs. Thailand, and 3 yrs. USA.

I tried to get another Dutch friend of mine a job in hospitality but the hotels weren't even interested in looking at her resume. It simply costs too much to employ foreigners as the company have to pay the government per month to employ you. I think it is around USD 100 per month. I was told foreigners would only be employed in top level positions. Probably getting contacts and referrals from where you have already worked would be the best way to start. From what I can gather, most expats in Bali provide their own employment from their own business interests. Please correct me if I am wrong guys!!
Good luck :)
