First of all hello to all Bali Expats. I've been in and out of Bali for about 6 years now and I'm desperate (one day it'll happen!) to be a real Bali Expat and free myself of the ties that bind me in my current expat home - Singapore.
My question is with regards to getting reliable and 'good enough' wireless access both in my house in Pererenan when I'm there and also offering this service to guests who stay with us when we rent. Our shop in Oberoi has Blueline (but they need it as they're online all day) and my colleague has a Telkomsel 3.5G USB modem (credit card sized) that uses Pulsa top ups. Blueline is over the top for what we really need for the Villa, and also hard to effectively 'bill' to guests who stay - so I like the idea of the pulsa/pay as you go system (doesn't have to be a portable USB system, just something that is as easy to control as the USB one looks).
Problem I've encountered (and my Bahasa really isn't good enough to get by with the tech guy - vice versa his English!) is that it doesn't seem Mac friendly - my chosen OS of travel.
Has anyone else experienced this problem, or maybe better can anyone advise an alternative system that allows me to 'tick all the boxes' above?
Once again, thank you for your time and great to be here, hope to be more full time very soon!
Warm regards.
Dan. :)
