I just HAD to share this with everyone...I looked out our bedroom window tonight and saw a beautiful smiley face in the night sky!
No wonder the ancients worshipped the moon and stars.

Some people have better cameras than I do (which isn't difficult really).

Hi Shaz
Yes I saw it all last night also. Just brilliant and when Budi came home from work I told him that I had arranged the 'smiley face' just for him. I tried to take a photo and it turned out just like yours. I am not a photographer that's for sure.

Apparantly we have to wait 5 years to see it again.
We had a great view from the top level of Malaiku Restaurant in Lovina - but no camera. Some reports say it won't happen again until 2036 - for example:

I watched it last night, Dec 1, 17:00, EST. It's no longer smiling but frowning :([attachment=0:2ltuv0p9]conjunction2.jpg[/attachment:2ltuv0p9]

TinTin, in the link which shaz posted it does say it would be seen as a frown in America.
actually, last night i watched it again (i was standing in the same spot as the night before when it was a smiley) and this time it appeared as a frown.
(different phase of moon).
