Ah yes, I spent the summer of 1991 on the Cote d'Azur, Nice, Cannes, Anitibes, Monaco, St Topez ... know where I'd rather be right now. Have fun!

FreoGirl, You've been around the world, how lucky! I would like to go to Greece but it's seems as though we never have the time. We just work..work...work... and work here. :(Next week we'll go to Cape Cod in MA (it always makes me feel good when I'm near the Ocean, don't know why). We've been waiting for 6 months to take this little vacation.FreoGirl are you in Bali or Australia?? As I'm reading, your location is in Fremantle Aus.I would rather be in Bali too, I'm still kind of leery about the heatlh care in Bali though.Liz
FreoGirl
Hi LizI'm currently living in Fremantle, Western Australia. My husband is from Lombok and we have lived there too, but for now are nose to the grind-stone and working hard trying to get enough money together so we can live in Indonesia.I have travelled a bit, in 87 I chucked in my executive job at an advertising agency and travelled for around 7 years, with some lengthyish stays in a couple of places. In 91 I found myself working on a private yacht in the Mediteranean, hence the summer on the Cote d'Azur. Sometimes you just have to take the plunge and 'do it'. Don't worry about health care and stuff like that - you can get sick at home and get bad medical care there too. Things often have a way of working themselves out if they are meant to be.

Hi ladies! Thanks for your posts. I'll try to send pictures, Sumatera, but let me rest from this holiday first.... Why don't you send yours so we could see the place of your holiday too.Freogirl, such interesting experiences you've had on this part of the world. Do tell us more...!!

Great, you're back. Just upload your photos to Flickr and once there you can adjust to the size of your preference and download them here. Sorry to hear your husband and son got sick on your return. FYI, hubby actually declined taking photos as we've been to this part of France so many times previously that it's no longer a novelty added by the fact that it's not up his alley to take pictures. But I'll try to send one more postcard and perhaps a few okay photos. I myself was too distracted (being the person that I am, normally ) added by the impulsive decision taken by hubby to get me an iPhone out of the blue. I didn't expect it though, yet at the same time he murmured things by saying: "I'll lose you"... :( Well, he did! My time from that moment on has been spent on studying, trying, testing, being delighted by discoveries of tricks and shortcuts and the marvelous things this little phone could offer besides on being on its forum. It has a very nice feel to it when you hold as it fits perfectly in your palm. Except for a few hitches here and there, I love it!! Doesn't have MMS nor video recorder which is a disappointment though but other than those, it spoils you and I love to be spoiled...

bolli
Are they photos or more postcards?Don't worry Milan, for all we know you are really a 12 year old boy who lives in Adelaide, avatars can lie..
milan
Wow bolli I guess that's what you wish that I'm not my Avatar and not even a female. What's your grind? Like I say, one is postcard again and one is photo where my husband is, Madame. I'm not going to expose my personal photos in order to convince you. I'm here to read interesting stuff and leisurely so, so if you'll excuse me, bother someone else pls. (written from my iPhone).

Back on my laptop. I'm quite taken aback by Bolli's cynism towards me that I had to add this post. Is everything ok? You sound bitter and rather mad.Your motto should be the other way round if I may say so."Dogma ran over Karma" instead...
bolli
Oh dear, I thought you had a sense of humour, but you appear to have only paranoia. I can't see any bitterness or a sign of being mad??? :? Do you not look at the emoticons??Am I supposed to be impressed about the iphone

My mentioning iphone because i couldn't check back if there are any typo errors since the keypad takes time to get used to tap them correctly as they are tiny. That's all there is to it. And yes, I'm excited by this jewel but don't worry, the novelty will wear off.As for humour with a hint that I lie on my Avatar? I don't quite get that kind of humour though...So...what can I say? Anyway, no harm done...

[/quote]Do you think so?Originally I wanted Blackberry 8320 or BB Bold, but Italy doesn't carry them or at least not yet.iPhone doesn't cost much in itself which was surprising but a contract that ties you with your phone card company/local tel. co., for at least 2 years (for Internet connection that has 2 options on size), which was intimidating at first but reasonable in the end. My only complain is that the screen is so sensitive to the touch though has its automatic pop-up magnifying glass/spelling/dictionary to the letter when tapped it still requires practice. But all in all, it's a piece of jewel in the latest technology. Bert, I saw an ad on villas/houses in the French Riviera here but it's gone. Personally, it hurts to see as it's been my dream and desire to have one there even if it's just an apartment. But hubby prefers Jakarta as I do admit the house we purchased is a dream too but nothing beats the climate, atmosphere, etc. HOWEVER, the cost of living is real high. A bag of green beans costs E 11. It's absurd.
