Translations - Indonesian to English for Visa

Can anyone give details of a reputable company or recognised translator that can translate documents from Indonesian to English. I have to have various documents translated for visa purposes. The translator must have credentials which would be recognized by Australian Immigration. Contact details - Business names / street address / email address and phone numbers would be greatly appreciated. I looked on the Bali IDE site but did not specifically see information regarding translations. Hoping someone can assist. Thanks :)

Hi Monyet I see that you have your location as Perth, so if you are looking for someone to do a translation try the Indonesian Embassy. I used the embassy in London to to translations that I needed of my wedding certificate, to get my name changed in UK. They are official translations and certainly in London they were a lot cheaper than commercial tranlating companies. Hope this helps.

Thanks Mimpimanis and Chilli for posting your information. I was however, hoping for details of a qualified Translator in Bali. I have had one document translated here for $86 AUD which I needed quickly. That was a one page certificate. In Australia, Translators have to be Natti certified and that seems to rather expensive. I understand from friends who have had documents done in Bali, it is much much cheaper. Unfortunately they no longer have the contact details for the Translators they have used. I have been told there are companies in the area near the University. Was just hoping I could make contact prior to having the documents done. If anyone else has information please post details. Many thanks :)

[/quote] I could help you in this but not having the official credential and being in Italy, I just can't. Can't you go to any Indonesian Community website in Australia or ask the Australian Embassy/Consulate in Bali for this? I'm sure they'd find one they know. Keep us posted.

Thanks Milan, That may be an avenue to chase up if I dont end up with any responses for Translators in Bali. I know they are around, just not sure where. I may have to ask an Australian friend living over there if she can have a look around for me, though I had hoped I wouldnt need to bother her. One document is quite long and it may not actually be required by Immigration. I hoped I could have it done in Indonesia. Time factors are another thing. I wanted my partner bring all the translated docs to Australia late this year along with the original Indonesian ones so we can have them certified here. My main concern is that the person who does the translations has the appropriate qualifications to do so. I would prefer a recommendation for a reputable company even if it costs a little more. I am sure it couldnt cost anywhere near what I have been quoted here in Australia.

You can still send them the documents with Tiki, pay the fees in their rekening and get back the documents the same way. I did that some time ago when I got married. It worked well.
