actually, like country people almost everywhere. Having spent some time in south louisiana many years ago, (south of the I-10 ) i can second what markit is getting at. (do coonasses count as Amer Ikans? )

Worlds may crumble around my next statement but after watching this video a couple of times I gotta say as cringe - making as the Honey Bo Bo family is I actually find them quite sweet. They all obviously love and care for each other, "Sugar Bear" makes a special effort to have some quality time with his youngest daughter when I'm sure he'd rather have sat on the couch eating "sketty". All in all I think they would be a great bunch to be around for about an hour - then you'd have to kill them all or yourself, but apart from not being Mensa candidates (and who it?) they were honest, open with no pretensions at all and just wanted to enjoy their lives and each other. Just like most Americans.

In regards to learning Indonesian....how much would a 101 teacher cost a few times per week, possibly most days. We would have a group of 3 that need to learn in a group and one single one on one, both for an hour or so each day. This is a serious attempt for all of us to learn the language and become quite fluent within one year. Can anyone give a rough cost for this and any recommendations of how to go about it, or a particular teacher perhaps. Thanks

For a more personalized service I found that the local adult education school has some great teachers (they teach English to Balinese adults) that here in the East charge only IDR50k per person per 2 hour lesson so for your 3 IDR 150k would be about right. If you are near the East then I can let you have the name of a very good teacher (beautiful woman also teaches Balinese dance).

Thanks, that sounds about perfect...but not sure where we will be living just yet. I have a beautiful woman coming with me, I found gay teachers to be the best all around, for several reasons. By East do you mean out Sanur way or more ?

When she realised Markit and No.Idea could speak it she said "See every bule speaks it except you" But my they live there comment didn't seem to work So yes please share

No.idea is fluent enough to know when they insult him, I still live in blissful ignorance. My Indo is crap and will probably stay that way as I have no motivation to change other than embarrassment at my own stupidity - beer helps (and causes?) that.
