dave gede Well the end of another shutdown happy new year to all glad to get back to normal next week 12 hour days in 40+ deg days suck to those in the north keep warm spare a thought for us down south its kn hot here. As some of the other members have said meeting people on the forum does make the contributions change meaning as your more connected news i have not posted is that Komang and i are now married and working on our visa once again back in Bali for Nyepi with the family. The wedding was here in Adelaide on nov11 should be easy to remember the date for any Aussie so to all take care in the new year . 8)

davita Thanks smoke and the same to you and your new family. Also..... a happy and prosperous New Year to all other members and admin. 2014 was not such a great time here in Indonesia due to fatalities from accidents...but the elections went well and the economy has not collapsed.....so maybe a mixed bag of joy and sad. We are staying in our Jakarta apartment complex tonight..we'll join some friends to a gala dinner/dance with paper hats and trumpets in one of the restaurants in the building. No driving. At midnight we'll see the fireworks from our verandah. From our upper level the view is to south and west Jakarta and the fireworks display from the kampungs, in previous years, was spontaneous and outstanding...hope the weather complies tonight. Anyone else have adventures planned this evening?
