Jimbo
Finally arrived in Indonesia after a nightmare of delayed flights. Ovr 36 hours from Bahrain to Ujung Pandang ow called Makassar. Maria and the kids were even longer as they had to come from Manchester. Still after the first smell of a ktretek cigarette I knew I was home. Now on the second day and after sever meals of Nasi Campur, Bakso and the like and finding a wifi port I am finally feeling good. First on the agenda is to get everything ready for My Father in Laws funeral, then I have to make some decisions on where to buy a house. I want Bali and Maria wants Sulewesi. I suspect it may well be both. I also have to make a lot of repairs to the family house in the kampung so the final decider may be money.I have met up with a japanese guy married to an old froend of Maria's who stays here on a limited stay Kitas and so I may be able to answer those questions from a first knowledge basis. Will also take lots of photo's and video's from the funeral so those of you who have never seen a Torajan funeral will get to see what it is like.To be continued
