Robin took the kids to the Bali Tree Top place in Bedagul today, they had a blast... well worth the time to go there, there are courses for everyone, she said the place was huge, and after several hours they had still not covered the entire areas, (many courses to chose from),, and it goes over and through a huge botanical garden,,, she said it seemed like several hundered acres!! She&kids will be leaving tommorow, when she gets back I will try to post some pics,,,, Frog

We would all love to hear your story on how you came to bali and the challenges you faced setting up a business, housing , adapting to the lifestyle, funny stories etc,, But the rule for promoting your business on this forum are basically there to stop abuses(like someone pushinh Amway , or some crap),, not to let a local guy explain how wonderful his park is,, heck thats why the forum is here , so visiters will get a feeling on what to do while in Bali,, so jump in and plz post more, I plan on being back in July with several friens and would love to meet,, Frog

Hi Christophe,
we were in Bedugul end of January, it was 15:30h in the afternoon when we wanted to enter the Botanical Garden to have a look at the treetop there, unfortunately it is not allowed to enter the park with a motorbike, only by car, this means either get there by car or hire a driver, I also cannot remember to have seen any advertising for the treetop at the entrance of the Botanical Garden.
Best regards
Thorsten
PS: maybe you could explain, why so many things in Bali are priced in US Dollar?

Sounds exciting Chris. Drive Roy, others crazy and put up signs like the Toro Park, of course you may get your head chopped off!!! I will try to come up with a few other ideas for some promotions,That wont challenge the level of fluids in your body...... Bert, Yu Da Man...

You read my 3 posts? In July 2004, I was wondering about investement rules and PMA. Then in Decembre 2004, I was organising my arrival in Bali and looking for pembantu. I arrived here with my family in January 2005. That's 2 years ago already !
We spent the first 4 months looking for the best location for the park, then 6 months to explain the concept and to find an agreement for the land. We signed the contract the day of bomb 2 :( . The construction was finished on January 15th 2006. Most of the business came from the word of mouth. Many expats have been supporting us a lot when we had just opened and only very few tourists: We had a lot of birthday parties in Bali Treetop or expats bringing their company staff for a day out. :) Thank you so much to all of them !
I fly tomorrow to bandung where we are starting a new Treetop project with some Treehouses. Another project will maybe start in East Jawa.
Business is still up and down but I am very optimistic that as soon as I will perfect my P.R. skills and do some marketing, things will be very good !
See you in July in Bali. It gives me enough time to make ready T-shirts and other souvenirs that people are keeping asking me for.

I took a group of my students up to the tree top on a field trip a few months ago. The kids had a great time and the staff were very helpful and friendly. An excellent business.

Well, I know what one of my activities will be, next time I am in Ubud. :)
PS. Very nice website.

You are right, I should find a way to explain that Treetop is only 3 minutes walk from Kebun Raya gate. And we are planning to have some advestising everywhere as Taro do. Let's start by one on two on the way from dps to Bedugul.

We started construction and decided our rates in october 2005 when the premium had just increase 100%. All our equipment was imported and paid in euro. At that time, nobody could say what would happen to the Rupiah... nothing happened but I couldn't take the risk.
And many travel agents also prefer we quote in usd... and increase our rates.
Thank you Bert for the links... now I will see Bali-Portal in my refering sources list everyday: I got 15 visits from all of your websites in the last 4 hours! btw, i found my first house in Bali through your website, but you had asked me to contact Scott, the English owner directly.
