Roy
Hi Jim, and I hope you don't mind too much a little sharing on THIS forum as you seem to be so quiet on the other forum. :? On the other forum you wrote:
Roy,
In the past I have enjoyed your postings and have been amazed at the attacks you endured. There have been times when I and others have defended you. You now pop up to put down everyone on this forum. I am sorry for you. I am basically a humble person and know little about Hinduism but even I can see that your belief that only you "get" it certainly not a path toward enlightenment. If you don't care what happens with your comments then why re-post them on this forum?
>Oh, Hummina, Hummina, Hummina, Oh < Does the spelling really matter?
Peace,
JT
And my response on the other forum was:
My post was not at all to "put down" everyone on this forum. Rather, it was only in amazement that the posters who linked up to the string just didn't seem to get it...I mean the speech. Please don't be sorry for me, as I am fine...really! Actually, it's me who is sorry for you. Heck, I live in Bali, with a wonderful wife, two sons (the first in my family in 27 years)...no mortgage, no car payments, no Brooks Brother's suits, silk ties or wing tip shoes either! Please, don't ever waste your kind thoughts on being sorry for me!
Oh Hummina...sorry, but I don't get that one. But yes, the spelling does matter as the meaning changes with the spelling. Please tell me that I need not explain that to you too much. But don't worry, I am going to be very busy with Galugan, Kunnigan...and then, money gone ceremonies over the next two weeks! So...you have a reprieve!
And as Ringo recently posted on the other forum:
However, if you search the internet (I did after reading Roy's message on the subject) then you will find that most sites in the Indonesian language use the spelling 'santi'. In this respect Roy was right to correct me, after all.
So, :?: Jim, any more questions from Iowa, USA?
