I am planing to take some family members with me next time I go to Bali, and I wonder if there is still Ketcak dance in Uluwatu? I saw it 6 years ago and it was a wonderful preformance and specaly magick with the sun set. :)

yes when I was there last year in September I went with a girlfriend to see it and it was spectacular! :D

I am taking my oldes son with me for the first time so I want him to have a perfect stay. we are going in february 07 so I have still a lot of time to plan this, but I am so exited to go back with my son so I have started planing everything already. :oops:

I'll ask my Balinese friend tonight and will post later, but i think they do it nearly every night. I too are going with my 15 year old son in Jan 07, it will be his first time too and I want it to be as special as possible. I am hoping for my son to soak up as much cultural and spiritual aspect of bali as possible. I'll let you know when I find out, or maybe some of the other members may know?

Kecak dance is performed daily at 18:30. Costs around IDR 50.000. My 6 year old daughter can't get enough of Bali dances so we have dinner at the new Bali Dance Festival a lot. It's on Jl. Bypass in Jimbaran and they have a different dance every night. It's fun to see her totally concentrated and trying to move her fingers as graciously as the dancers.
