Funny post Paul, reminiscent of an English movie, the Holy Grail, I think, or was it The Life of Brian?.....”someday this will be all yours.....what?...the curtains?”
Cloth, or what we call kain, is at its best in Indonesia. It’s advisable that you bring dimensions (for your curtains) with you, and have them custom made....very cheaply.

Jalan Werkudara (previously known as Rum Jungle road) in Legian has many places to buy ready made and made-to-measure curtains.

Well that is good news Mats. In all my years on Bali, I've never seen a standardized sized window, or a curtain to fit it.
My wife Eri has always had our curtains custom made, which often has led me to wonder, "hey, where is my favorite batik sarong?"

I did say it's possible to buy ready made curtains, but whether they'll fit standard windows in Australia (or anywhere else in the world), is anyone's guess. :P
