Seems to me that the domestic tourists that pretty much kept this place afloat during the pandemic with the help of the resident bule are being victimized by the proposal to not allow non-DK plated cars to enter from the outside during the holidays.The reality is that if the Balinese could figure out a way to rid the entire island of non-DK tagged vehicles and the work that is "being stolen" from them, they would. To be fair, Bali is missing out on quite a bit of vehicle tax revenue, but to change that would require enforcement of laws. Not their strong suit for sure.
