We always needed to get a letter from head in the area we moved from. Seems to be SOP here. Should be free of charge. If you can find kampung head "office" on google map you might be lucky to find a phone number / whatsapp contact there. That is how I usually track down officials.
Thanks for responding! I don't know what SOP means? Please enlighten me! This has been a situation that I never expected. I thought if I did my part and payed my rent, the owners of the hotel, Inn, senior living home, would take care of legal paper work dealing with required documents. The last place I lived, the Hotel owner went and got my Surat Domicile in 1 hour, for my agent to take to immigration to get my renewed Kitas visa. Where I am now the people in charge act like they don't have a clue of how to get my required paper work, and tell me, a foreigner to know the system here and get the required documents. Coming from a foreign country and not speaking the language, I am totally lost of what to do. There is no phonebook with the number of who to call to reach the official in charge of official documents. It seems crazy to me, that in an age where everyone has a smart phone but don't know if they can get a document required, or a hammer or nail from the local store down the street. A person has to drive somewhere to see if what they want is available! In my case, I would need to hire a driver and go all the way across Bali to see if I can get a document from a Head of the village to come back here to get another document that states I live here? I have to pay IDR. 500,000 for this journey and don't even know if I can get this document! Hello! Isn't that why we have telephones? This seems to me to be a waste of fuel and time if they don't have what a person needs! Am I crazy for thinking this is crazy?

SOP = Standard Operating Procedure. On a KITAS/KITAS all this should have been done as part of the address change process (MUTASI). Maybe sponsor knows?

Sure but just don't go counting them chickens. An acquaintance bought land and built a house he thought was wonderful. Sadly after he died and the fam came to try selling dad's dream it wasn't nearly so good as dad had originally thought and the fam had no interest in hanging on for a good price. Went for pennies on the pound. Lucky buyer.
Yeah I can see that. Not everyone's dream home is everyone's dream home. I'll probably just keep it empty. Easier to sell empty land than one with a house on it around here in my opinion. I also know a few bule struggling to sell their "dream villas" right now.
