What I like in Bali (at least in my area) is that it is not too much in your face.Coming from HKG where the commercialization of Christmas has reached a summum, and you start to have the jingle bell music everywhere starting mid-November, here it is much more relaxed. Mind you, Halloween is even worse.... As I live according to my traditions, of course we set up a Christmas tree every year. Always done it wherever I lived, even on Navy ships we had our Christmas tree in the various messes.The first year the Missus lived with me (in HKG) she saw me doing and said, "next year I will do it !", and since then the Christmas tree set up is 100% her responsibility, me deciding only the dates and "supervising" from the sofa with a whisky coke in my hand.[ATTACH type="full"]3924[/ATTACH][ATTACH type="full"]3925[/ATTACH]Had to give her some cultural explanation concerning the meaning of the different figures in the crib, but she got it.[ATTACH type="full"]3926[/ATTACH]Remain to start thinking about the Christmas menu now !
