Can anyone please tell what they paid for there pool and what it cost to run?

Calculation used to be 3 juta/sq.mtr. to build. Running costs are a function of size but my 20/4 mtr costs about 400k/mnth for power and chem.

I have quotes for around 2.6 juta/sq.mtr all in. Want to use solar to power the pump, anyone tried solar power?

That's very cheap. On Bali?

Not down to my guy, it's a general problem for all pool owners due to rain, trees and various other. If you can run your pumps that long with solar then good luck but I have my doubts.

We run our swimming pool pump from around 6am to 6pm. It's a 100 square meter pool with a large balancing tank below for the 'infinity' overflow. We live in the jungle and have no issue with the water clarity. As for chemicals, we spend about 275k per month (with pool service 2x per week, each time approx 0.75 kg chlorine, plus terusi 0.5 kg 1x per month). Electricity costs for the pool I wouldn't know, as we have other pumps and AC, oven, dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer, lighting etc so impossible to separate. Construction cost was much more than 3 juta psm, as the pool is on a slope overlooking a river valley so the pool foundation structure has 7m deep bore piles, 1 meter square foot plates and a full sized pump room below the pool. Pool construction cost is really a 'how long is a piece of string' question since there are differences according to the site, the pool design, construction quality, pumps and filtration system used and of course the finishing. Considering solar for the pumps is a good idea.
