Im looking to buy a cordless Ryobi grass cutter. I've looked online at Ace hardware and can only see one with cord. Also looked at Mitre 10 a s same thing. Is it just that 'in store' they would have them but not online?

Can't recall the name of the store but will come back with the information when we find out.

when you say yours is electric is that with a cord or a battery that you charge. I'm trying to avoid having to pull the cord around the garden plus it gets tangled around trees and bushes and around your feet etc.Im also thinking of installing sonic bat detractors because they crap all over the tiles at night when they sleep han off the beams. Anybody tried this??

Have found them at small tokos dealing in tools. Not living in South Bali and can't recommend a location, but would guess looking for such places near the pasar in Denpasar, or google for dealers.BTW, perhaps your experience has been different, but have found Ryobi lacking with a number of different electric tools purchased.Good Luck

It was Mitre 10 in Sanur that we bought our grass cutter. . A big store so it might worth giving them a call to see what they have. Ours is just a cord to an extension cord to plug in. A small front and back area so not a problem with tangling cord. Mitra10 is on Tokopedia: https://www.tokopedia.com/mitra10gatsudenpasar I have used Tokopedia quite a lot without any issues. If need right click in google chrome to translate.

Thanks AuroaB I looked up Tokopedia and bought a cordless cutter for rp694,000 incl delivery. Im a bit worried that it won't be much good at that price but it will do for the time being and then I might get something better when I'm up there. In Sydney a decent cutter is around $200 so I'm not all that confident of the quality of the machine at $65.00 it was worth the gamble.

How much was the trimmer?

Is that your lawn darlogeoff? Looks as good as any golf green! Mine is just rough crap grass with stepping stones hence the need for a whipper snipper.

The cost of tge trimmer seems about right. You can see why I'm concerned about the quality of the one I bought on line for rp694,000!

If you have local gardeners I'd love to see what they look like now...?
Yes I know what you mean, I used to buy what I thought were high quality hand tools abroad and bring them here only to find after a few months handles cracked or snapped fork tongs bent or snapped off and everything totally rusty, the one thing I would say they always keep the blades sharp I think I could shave with them. Our first gardener ran off with the security guards wife (his best mate) just after his own wife had a baby, the second guy spent most of his time playing games on his phone which was a bit of a blessing because. in the garden he would cut the flowers and leave the weeds, the guy we've had for the last couple of years is great.BTW that pic was taken yesterday

Staff here are a trip! I've never understood their attitude to tools in general - they know how expensive they are but just leave them out in the rain, buried in a hole or just any-old-where. Also won't bother picking up trash but will spend hours sweeping up a few leaves - go figure.
